SCARE - 2007 Event

The 2007 event will take place on... Sunday September 9th at 1:00 pm at... Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven.
On the day, all Carties must be on-site by 12:00 for final inspection, presentation and judging, and ready-to-roll by 12:45

Entry Forms should be submitted as soon as possible, as spaces are limited and allocated on a "first come - first served basis". An entry form may be downloaded from the attached web-page.

Scrutineering will take place on Sunday ???th August at 11:30 am at Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven. Scrutineering will be more rigorous than last year to ensure everyone is as safe as possible.

Rules are similar to last year, with both Junior and Senior classes. Like last year, there will be 3 starting lines and a short and long course.
The Junior race will be judged for entrants starting at Line 3 and taking the short course.  The Senior race will be judged for entrants taking the Long Course, starting at any of the Lines 1,2,3
Entries may be upgraded from Junior to Senior, or vice-versa, as a result of scrutineering, the drivers' age and ability, or any other reason at the Organisers' discretion.  Full Rules are available on the attached web-page.

 Hints and Tips for first-timers

Cartie should have a wide wheelbase for extra stability within the limits as stated in the Rules, and likewise  a low Centre of Gravity. Here Oor Wullie shows you how NOT to do  it.
Contact the Committee at the earliest opportunity to discuss your proposed design, or to get advice.  It would be disappointing for you to build a Cartie that will not pass the Scrutineering.
